RPG’s or Roleplaying games are an ever-growing category in the industry of gaming. 2020 is looking to be a solid year for the RPG or the roleplaying games which are ever-expanding in the gaming industry. Well, I’m here to show you my pick in the top 10 RPG games of this year.

10.) Wasteland 3

The legendary post apocalyptic strategic RPG is returning with a winter twist, following the success of wasteland 2 in 2014, the series from the late 80’s brought back to the forefront from a pretty good reason and Wasteland 3 looks pretty sweet continuing a lot of stuff establish in-with the same team who paid attention to the details and clearly cared about the series’s roots, this time around the adventure moves around to snowy Colorado mountains, where you set up a new base of operations and train up some new survivor squad based tactical combat returns with Rangers you can customize and build its different perks and ability. Ofcourse there’s tons and tons of story with plenty of freedom in decision making and exploration. There’s plenty in the package as you can play solo or cooperatively for which this style of RPG’s always works out really well in my personal opinion.

9.) Elden Ring

Well let’s talk about Elden ring, the next from software game and this thing is huge as details about this game are scares now but it is hotly anticipated by me and many many fans of the development studio. George RR Martin from Game of Thrones collaborated with this project and wrote the overarching world lore, so that’s something that’s worth the hype and wait.

8.) Bravely Default 2

This has been Announced at the Game awards that we are getting a Bravely default game from the Nintendo to switch JRPG’s are kickass and the 3ds for a long time are blessed with pretty great ones especially with bravely default, bravely second and liar. Now, this year if all goes well we will be getting Bravely default 2. Right now the story, combat characters, the missions, the explanatory adjustments of the game and the release date are kind of not open-sourced yet. But we are expecting it soon. Few sources say that the game will be on by FEB 2021.

7.) Dragon Ball Z kakarot

The dragon ball z kakarot the game has been released on 16th January 2020. Well as usual being on a nostalgic tide with the Dragon ball series in the television and in the PSP and in the PS2 ofcourse in the PC, this game is also has a promising edge as the remaining dragon ball z game. It has got particularly many sagas just to give you the perfect RPG environment and also you can play with many characters.

But unlike other RPG dragon ball games, KAKAROT will have many many side missions and side stuff or the quests you can do and just a heavy emphasis on RPG mechanics.

For one there are animals running around and you can hunt them and then you can cook their meat at one of many scattered campfires that you find throughout the game worlds just like other RPG’s it can increase your HP and also can buff up Goku depending upon what you cook.

There are also materials that are needed to be collected scattered around the world. There are also mini-games along with the side quests and you can be able to fly around and collect the zorbs which act as a currency for levelling up.

We still don’t know the release of this game but the original darkest dungeon was such a killer, fun, addicting concept that was just oppressively challenging and still kind of unforgettable.

Critics applauded how faithful the story and lore was to the original game from 1997 while expanding on it. The updated battle system was praised for its strategic elements and visual flourishes. However, reception was more mixed toward the game’s linearity and the repetitive nature of its sidequests. Final Fantasy VII Remake was a financial success and has become one of the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 games, selling over 3.5 million copies within the first three days.

3.) Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Hardsuit Labs and published by Paradox Interactive. Part of the World of Darkness series, the game is based on White Wolf Publishing’s tabletop role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade and is the sequel to the 2004 video game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. Bannerlord takes place 210 years before its predecessor, with a setting inspired by the Migration Period. Bannerlord was announced in 2012. A Steam page for the game was created in late 2016; the following year, TaleWorlds began releasing weekly developer diaries detailing elements of the game. An early access version of the game was released on March 30, 2020 and quickly became the largest launch of the year on Steam, achieving more than 200,000 concurrent players. A version for unspecified consoles is planned.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord takes place on the fictional continent of Calradia, 210 years before Mount & Blade: Warband, during the decline of the Calradic Empire and the formation of the predecessors of the factions that appear in Warband. The armour, clothes, weapons, and architecture of each faction will be inspired by their real-world counterparts from 600 to 1100 A.D.

1.) Cyberpunk 2077

I still remember watching the E3 for this game. I just thought the company was an indie company which made witcher (that was a decent game) and yeah I was watching it. I was mainly focusing on Assassins’ Creed, but watching Keanu Reeves entry into E3 and into this game just made me jump up and down and act nuts. Coming to the release of the game. The known sources say that the game is yet to be released and will be released around Dec 10th 2020. Coming about the details.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. It is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 10 December 2020. Adapted from the Cyberpunk franchise, the story takes place in dystopian Night City, an open world with six distinct regions. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customisable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery, an arsenal of ranged weapons, and options for melee combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 was developed using the REDengine 4 by a team of around 500, exceeding the number that worked on the studio’s previous game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, featuring the contributions of several licensed artists.
